Moving through and into the Moon, again from Top That Publishing, this is another symbol for cycles and things in motion. Like the Wheel of Fortune, the Moon has phases, from light to dark, dark to light.
The Moon Waxes and Wanes, it also links to tidal patterns both internal and external. We are 80% water after all, so we are all affected by a lunar cycle.
Some cycles are in tandem with Waxing/Waning, Light/Dark, whereas like myself anti clockwise, so Waning/Waxing, Dark/Light.
Perhaps it is because I carry a lot of light inside, that I need the dark cycle to recover and recharge, where as others hold the dark and need to recharge in the light.
The light/dark refers more to the balance of Yin and Yang than it does good/bad etc. We are creatures of balance, and so require stability of some form in order to function.
My most recent Moon/ Wheel of Fortune, as seen me face my mortality, look it dead in the eye, and still trying to rebuild what I saw. Thing is, in facing your mortality, facing not only yourself but everything that makes you, discovering the beliefs, that have shaped the person you are, its not for the faint of heart.
The true secret of the Moon, it really, really forces you to show up...
"It is easy to throw on a work face, a happy friend face, a fake face,
but when you face yourself, when you look at your own inner reflection,
there is no hiding, no faces to put on other than the one you have."
And the ending with the road, its branches, and the destination. Lovely!
