Tarot Blog Hop 52

Transitions:

Path To Nourishment

Path One: Action to Nourishment

In your experience of working on yourself or with others, how do you see the Tarot work you are doing nourishing or encouraging change through action, or do you find that there is inaction, where nothing changes by the time the next reading comes around.

Ah nothing beats a bad case of the Zombies, perhaps a little out of season, but what's a zombie outbreak between hoppers. I am not a regular read my own cards kind of person, well not anymore.

I used to do it a lot once upon a time, but eventually I recognised that I wasn't gaining anything from it. If anything it was becoming deterimental, drawing cards and trying to divine solutions or anticipate issues before they even arrived.

It meant that I moved from action to inaction very rapidly and nothing good really came of that stance. If anything it became an unhealthy cycle, so I broke it and now happily collect but will read for others at events.

The take away from this card, the three of hazzards, is to be wary of cause and effect, action and inaction, try to bring into completion old cycles and try to let go of the things that no longer service you.

Let go of the old energies, and don't hold on to them like a Zombie with its Femur.

Path Two: Darkness to Light

The power of the Tarot is well known for its transformative and healing properties. It seems to lift burdens and bring joy where there wasn't any before. Therefore, how has Tarot helped to transform you, or your clients.

Tarot for me has changed my life at least twice, first time when I was 16, and I read for my Dad, and only after his passing 12 years ago now, do I realise the significance of that reading.

The second time a few years later, I was minding my own business in the canteen of the college, and I was asked to read the cards for someone out of the blue.

Never done it before, not a private reading of that kind and I told her some information relating to her daughter that had passed over. It rang so true, she got closure from it. Which in turn changed my life as well.

The take a way from this is that the Nine of Pentacles, tells us that we can never underestimate our own values, and worth. That we don't always know the cause or effect and indeed it can be beneficial to allow instincts and compassion to work for the greatest good, as healing comes in many forms.
