Tarot Blog Hop: 46

Let's dust off the decks (so to speak) and let me introduce you to The Dragon Tarot, Mythic Tarot and Goddess Power. These guys are going to help us visit the topic below:

This Bountiful Harvest

The inspiration for this turn of the wheel caem from the comments within the group, so in essence each member is contributing to wrangling this time.

The topic is exploring  what bountiful things have come from your year?

- Has much changed, do you still hop, and blog or did life take you in different directions?

- As this is a Tarot Blog Group, how does your life and blogging, relate to your ways of Tarot.

Naturally as this is hop, we're also free to explore, and go wild with it, as long as it keeps in the frame of Tarot and related areas.

Home

In reality it has not been that long since I picked up my cards. Looking back, It would have been exactly one month to the date that I was at an event doing readings for people.

Every event I do, I keep asking why did I sign up for this, when the truthful answer is It was personal choice, and circumstances were favourable enough to give me the nudge to do it.

Each event I get involved with is different, from Kids Holistic, to its parent Holistic Fayre that happens at the start of the year around Feb/March.

Tarot is not just 'something I do', its a lifelong passion. In many ways that same passion for the cards, is why I collect and enjoy working with crystals, which is why crystal tarot decks, are such a joy and although rare, I do love trying to source them, to add into the collection.

Tarot is like coming home, its familiar and comforting, while still keeping its surprise and awe. Take today as an example, in pre-loved group, there is at least a couple of decks that I have never seen before that I may well invest in, if I am patient enough to wait for them to appear.

Drawing Sophia, at this early stage is very much setting the scene, Home is a place of Divinty, we return home and to Source each time we sit with a client or sit for own wisdom, Sophia reminds us of our own power and innate wisdom.

Here There Be Dragons...

Strickly speaking this is the second incarnation of this deck, its twin mysteriously vannished while I was living on the East Coast. It is a time I rarely speak to, and this deck doesn't let me forget it.

However, over the year we've made our peace and from time to time, it will come out of hibernation and work with me. Fortunately this is one of those times.

This first card from The Dragon Tarot, is VIII Strength. Home is a place to gather your QI (Ki), your thoughts (wisdom) and your strenght, it is a place where you are at your best and worst in almost equal measure.

To draw strength at home, is to heal, to grow and become ready to face the challenges. Strength is a potency card, and at this time of year when we gather, reap, and prepare to rest, it is a card of taking stock.

Myths and Legends...

Never discount the minor cards, they reveal a lot more sometimes than the Major cards. There is a sense of subtlety, and quiet nuances in the minor deck.

Within the Eight of a Suit, in this case Pentacles, there is change and building something new, or if not new then expansion of what is already established.

In the Mythic Deck, this eight is expansion and rebuilding, which is actually apt for the current changes being reflected within my business and personal situations, be sure to note the important changes at the end of the entry.
