Tarot Blog Hop: 40

Jay's Opus

in

3 Acts

If you are just joining me, then you have arrived at the second page of The Tarot Blog Hop, 24 hour challenge. Take a look at this post, which will explain what it is you are reading, and then jump back to Page 1 to catch up.

Since the moment I crossed the path of Tarot, I have always known that on some level life wouldn't ever be ordinary. True, some days I do wish that Hagrid, had knocked down my door and said...

"You're a Seer Jay, the old ways are calling you..."

There are other days when I wished that Mr. Holland had handed me the baton and said...

"One day, you too will write an Opus, but first you'd better learn what the word means..."

Then there are the days, when you realise that the Tarot is more than just a tool...

Codetta: Absolvo / Amen...

Slowly over this Opus in 3 Acts, I have taken you on a journey of Birth, Death, and Rebirth. The three cards that have featured continuously have been The Fool, The Hermit and Death, their order has reflected each pivitol moment in this reflection.

They also reflect my three faces and phases; I am the fool, I am Death, and I am the Hermit. When I am Death, I walk with the Dead, I listen to their stories, and I help them to move on into their next cycle, whatever that maybe.

When I am The Fool, I am the beginning; The Fool is ready to start, ready to learn, and yes, not always willing to make mistakes, but they happen, none the less.

The Fool is wide eyed and ready to begin, he starts and he enjoys the journey. Yet,  When I become the Hermit, I have learnt the lessons, I understand the journey and I see all that is, all that was, and all that can be.

I shine a light to the truth, not the the truth of the world, but the truth of the soul.

Fata Morgana

In the Shadows, In the Light

So where to now? My deck collection is now over 100, it continues to grow. My crystal skull collection now has a representative for each of the Crystal Skulls belonging to the Incan, Aztec and Myan times, every day they teach me something new.

As for my knowledge base, to date there are just on 70+ certificates issued to me for the courses and education that I have completed. I have almost completed my knowledge base, these days its being taken a slower pace, because another cycle of caring is developing.

I am putting to bed a lifelong dream of becoming a teacher, even though I was told some 30+ years ago now, that I would never amount to anything, because I had a poor education background.

Coda: Circle Eight...

As I sit here putting the final touches to my Opus in 3 Acts, it has been quite a journey. I started off not really certain of where this one was going, my only thought was about my favourite decks.

Yet, during this Opus, I have revisited some places within my memory, and left others alone. I selected six different decks, and covered four decades of this incarnation so far, which has been eventful.

I have been very blessed to meet some amazing people along the way. I have had mentors, and once the teaching or wisdom has been imparted, the cords have been cut and we move on.

We have had revelations (the author of people's sex lives) and surprises (I had a Girl Friend), and there has been drama and travesty worthy of a telenovella (my time as a shop owner). I have experienced love (My husband), and loss (Farewell to the Shop), happiness and yes, saddness too...

Who knows what 2022 has in store, I for one ain't looking...
