Tarot Blog Hop: 47

Continued

If you are just joining me, then you have arrived at the second page of The Tarot Blog Hop, Samhain 2022 Post. Take a look at this post, which will explain what it is you are reading, and then jump back to Page 1 to catch up.

Deja Vu...

Thing is that we know most creation myths and origin stories, have in essence a real beginning, not the one that is common knowledge to the populas, but the one that really began it.

Tarot, when you consider all that is known and how much is not known isn't really that different. True each deck has its own individual origin story, but what about that first deck, that first card, what is that origin story.

Is it like the biblical Ten Commandments, one day the Rosetta Story, the compass on how to create 78 unique cards, each with their own and individual meaning, is suddenly handed down from a Divinity, a Universal Consciousness that says, this is what you will create.

Was it something entirely otherworldly, or was it pure mundane boredom that created something that inspires you.

The Language of Generations...

The Mystics, Oracles, and The Witches of old, were and are the true knowledge keepers, they were the ones to pass down the Aural Traditions and the old ways. That which was sacred, was never written, only spoken.

So I can't help but wonder, who will speak the traditions of Tarot, long after society crumbles and who were the ones to speak the traditions and sacred ways of the Tarot, before Society sprouted up and out grew the groves and leys of those olde days...

Epilogue:

We Are Nature...

As I said at the start of this hop, it was going to be at most a two pager...

There are times, when a theme lends itself to a short post, and there are those themes that prompt me to run into three pages.

I sense the Ancestors with me a lot when I work with the Tarot, or teach others about their own power and ability, we call it development, but I sometimes wonder if its a reawakening.

Tarot and themes always run through my posts. The Hermit always features in my posts somewhere, whether as a card or in name. This post has been no different.

Well, here we are once again at the end of another Wheel of the Year and I wonder; what knowledge, Sacred purpose, and Truths will you find and take with you from this cycle into the next one?

I would love it if you could leave me a comment, thank you for visiting, and I look forward to seeing you for the Next Cycle.

Hi Jay, I'm totally with you wondering how it all started
and how it will be carried on when the books and the internets are gone!
It's like trying to imagine infinity.. Also love seeing the DC Vertigo Tarot!
I recently picked up a copy of the Dali Tarot and while looking for Rachel Pollack's book
I ended up with a copy of the DC Vertigo Tarot as well
and am ready to dive into it now that this hop has passed.
(I'm sure I have over 100 decks as well, lol)
